In 2025, Singapore launched a S$1,200 Fertility Wellness Grant to support young couples preparing for parenthood With birth rates at a historic low, the government is taking proactive steps to ease financial pressures around family planning. The grant supports fertility screenings, lifestyle coaching, and subsidised wellness treatments, aiming to boost natural conception rates and reduce emotional stress for hopeful parents.
Eligibility and What’s Covered
This grant is available to married Singaporean couples aged 21 to 40, regardless of the citizenship status of one partner. It covers a range of services including fertility assessments, dietary consultations, and acupuncture or hormone therapy from certified clinics. Applications can be made through the Ministry of Social and Family Development’s Parenthood Support Hub.
Tackling Fertility with Holistic Care

Unlike traditional subsidies focused solely on IVF or ART procedures, the Fertility Wellness Grant promotes a holistic approach. By encouraging early diagnosis and lifestyle improvements, the government hopes more couples will conceive without needing expensive interventions. It also reflects growing awareness around the importance of emotional wellbeing in reproductive health.
Complementing Existing Baby Support
This new grant complements existing schemes like the Baby Bonus, enhanced parental leave, and subsidised pre-natal care. Officials believe investing in upstream fertility wellness could reduce long-term costs associated with late-stage fertility treatments and encourage couples to plan earlier.
Encouraging Early Action
Healthcare professionals and family advocacy groups have welcomed the initiative, urging couples not to delay fertility checks. The S$1,200 grant serves as a timely nudge to start planning early and break taboos around reproductive health conversations. With Singapore’s population growth in sharp decline, such programs are expected to expand in future budgets.
