Singapore’s government has announced the Smart Family Support Grant, a new initiative offering S$4,000 to eligible young families navigating the challenges of modern parenthood in a digital world. With the cost of living rising and technology becoming essential in early childhood development, this scheme targets households with children under the age of seven. Who Can Apply and What the Grant Covers
The grant is available to Singaporean households earning less than S$10,000 per month, with at least one child below Primary 1 level. Families can apply through MSF’s LifeSG portal, with simple digital documentation such as income proof and child’s birth certificate required. Approved applicants will receive the S$4,000 grant in two tranches. The first half supports upfront purchases such as baby monitoring systems, interactive learning kits, and ergonomic home-learning furniture.
